LCI microscopy course vintage 2019! :)

The Live Cell Imaging facility is back with its intensive microscopy course! In 2018 we moved to a new building so there was no course but we will strike again in Jan-Feb 2019!!You will definitely learn tons at our course. Have a look at the program and judge for yourself.

As usual we run 2 courses in parallel:

#2870, 6 points, is the full course with all lectures, workshops, demos… This will run 22/jan-08 feb, 3 days/week 9:00-17:15.

#2871, 4.5 points, is the same minus some workshops and demos. This course will run at the same dates but 10:00-15:00.

The rest of the time is used for home assignments.

All lectures are open to the public without any registration so tell your colleagues!

Course applications are open from today and until the 15th of November. The full course (2870) has only 16 spots available so just go for it NOW! 🙂

Clearing and expansion microscopy course at Scilife in September!

Expansion microscopy and clearing are fantastic tools for anyone who images thick (> 1 cell diameter) fixed samples. We are now lucky to have access to state of the art talks and hands-on workshops at Scilife in September. Register early not to be disappointed!

Please apply to Hans (first day) and David (second day) directly!

Scilife super res course

Super resolution course early February at Scilife with great presentations accessible to everyone! I will go to the DNA-paint talk! 🙂

Check it out here.

Alyona’s videos

Alyona Minina from the Confocal microscopy facility at SLU came up with really nice videos about Zen and how to use Zeiss confocals

Have a look!

How to kill your fear of image analysis?

Neubias is a European effort to get biologists comfortable with image analysis. conferences (Hungary, Jan 2018), courses, facility staff training, ‘biologists meet analysts’ meetings… They have it all!

Now this is your chance to learn and get help to analyze images for your microscopy project! Check the Neubias conference and courses in Hungary!

And if you would like to work with microscopy in the future, remember to join the ELMI (European Light Microscopy Initiative) so you get all their job announcements! 🙂

Imaris User Group Meeting in Basel

Would you like to boost your knowledge about Imaris, learn loads of tipes and get expert help with your pipeline? Join the Imaris User Group Meeting in Basel at the end of June!

iBiology Microscopy course

This course about light microscopy is made of videos only! It is very complete, very interesting and very well done!

Point Spread Function? Fourier transform? Image formation? Resolution? Everything about light microscopy you wish you had learned earlier! 🙂

LCI microscopy course 2017 is here!

The Live Cell Imaging facility will soon run its intensive microscopy course 17th Jan-9th Feb. Loads of fun workshops, informative lectures, intense discussions and our popular Student Imaging Challenge workshop where students get direct feedback on how to improve their own sample preparation/experimental design.

The full course (#2870) is full but the theory only course (#2871, 4.5 points) has unlimited space so you can still apply (mail me) until the 13th.

As usual, all lectures are public so you are welcome to just show up without registration. The full program is on our our course webpage and instructions on how to find the Green seminar room can be found here. The program will be kept updated in case of (unlikely) last minute changes.

Additionally this year, we will do our best to broadcast all the lectures so that you do not need to physically come to Flemingsberg to listen to your favourite topic. Instead, just follow check the schedule on our course webpage, find out which lecture you want to follow and follow the LCI webinar link. We welcome your feedback about the quality of the webinar and the content of the lectures.
