Brilliant violet

Those who work with FACS are aware of the very bright blue dye called Brilliant Violet but it can be used in microscopy as well!

If like many microscopists, you systematically use DAPI to stain nuclei even though your experiment doesn’t require you to know where nuclei are, think about using the blue channel instead to label one more protein with an Brilliant Violet secondary antibody!

Et voilà! 🙂
